MobileConnect

Create, send, receive, and track SMS and MMS text messages using MobileConnect. Send alerts and transactional messages to subscribers using templates and a drag-and-drop interface. Automatically respond to incoming messages, manage keywords, and many other tasks.

AMPscript

AMPscript is a proprietary scripting language used solely within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. It is used specifically in content such as emails, landing page (CloudPages), SMS/Push messages. 

  • Display subscriber data and relational data within your content
  • Update, insert, manipulate data within your data extensions
  • Make calculations and decisions (simple or complex) on content generation or at time of send
  • Build row sets from a delimited string or XML
  • Allow you to use advanced 1:1 messaging within your content

Triggered Sends

Use triggered email sends to create and send automated messages to Salesforce contacts, leads, or person accounts when object records are created or updated.

Journey Builder

Salesforce Journey Builder gives you visibility into consumer interactions across all of your marketing channels, including email, mobile, social ads, and more. By connecting these different actions or conversations, you can understand the customer better, improve message building, design and automate campaigns, provide a seamless customer experience, and secure customer loyalty. In short, you can design more effective customer journeys by tailoring interactions through the customer life cycle. 

Loyalty Management

Loyalty Management is a unified, cross-industry solution that offers a host of features that enable you to plan and design loyalty programs, manage members, and partners. You can also track members’ activities, reward members, and manage promotions.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Customer Data Platform (CDP)

The first thing CDPs do is connect all of a company’s customer data in a single place. That means not only stitching together a single customer ID from many different customer interactions, but also tying together databases that traditionally don’t share data, like marketing clouds, service software, and ecommerce engines. We call that customer resolution.

Einstein Content Selection

Einstein Content Selection is a no-code, open-time experimentation tool for personalized content. Because Einstein selects content at open time, it continues to evaluate for winning content while also experimenting to ensure that click-through rates are optimized.

Data Extension

Data Extension is a table within the application database that contains your data. You can use the data to run queries, pull information, and send to a subset of subscribers. Data extensions can be used in Marketing Cloud connector. Import Marketing Cloud Data Extensions into Data Cloud using our Marketing Cloud connector.

Data Designer

The Data Designer tool in Contact Builder defines, organizes, and relates information to contacts within your account. All contact information resides on subscriber lists and data extensions contained in Marketing Cloud account. Data Designer enables you to manage how data extensions store that information and how those data extensions relate to each other.

Salesforce Data Event

A Salesforce Data Event is an action in Sales Cloud or Service Cloud, such as creating or updating an object record, that injects a contact into a journey. When the primary object meets rule criteria and reference object filtering criteria, Flow Builder initiates a Journey Builder event.

Automation Studio

Learn how Automation Studio makes Marketing Cloud email sends, queries, imports, and more happen automatically. Automation Studio is a Marketing Cloud application used to execute multi-step marketing and data management activities on an immediate, triggered, or scheduled basis. Use Automation Studio's workflow canvas to build simple or multi-step automations.

Personalization Strings

A personalization string lets you insert subscriber attributes, such as subscriber name, into your emails. Personalization strings can appear in the subject line, preheader, or in the content of the email. You may hear personalization strings referred to as merge fields or substitution strings.

In addition to the subscriber attributes, you can insert system data personalization strings. Addition system personalization strings are available when building AMPscript expressions.

Publication Lists

Use publication and suppression lists to manage opt-ins for your email account in Email Studio. Use either publication lists or suppression lists to control how subscribers receive your sends. Choose a publication list when sending email messages and SMS messages to a sendable data extension.

Opt-in / Opt-out

opt-in은 positive list, opt-out은 negative list, 즉, opt-in은 허용 가능한 것을 지정해 나머지는 모두 금지하는 것이고 opt-out은 금지하고자 지정한 것 외에 모두 허용한다는 의미

Content Builder

Content Builder is our cross-channel content management tool that allows you to consolidate images, documents, and content in a single location for use in the Marketing Cloud. With an easy-to-use, drag and drop interface, Content Builder is more efficient than our previous create and edit tools. Content Builder also includes the content repository (CMS) and API, the content management application (formerly referred to as Content Canvas), and the new HTML content editor (formerly referred to as Content Builder).

Auto-Suppression Lists

Assign a suppression list for use across an entire Marketing Cloud tenant or for specific business units for specific send classifications. You can assign auto-suppression lists at different levels of your account. Suppression lists filter out email addresses and prevent those addresses from receiving Email Studio messages. Suppression lists serve as a do-not-contact list for your email sends. Auto-suppression lists typically include addresses with a history of spam complaints, unsubscribe lists from previous providers or advertisers, addresses of your competitors, and canceled customers.

Sender Authentification

Sender Authentication Package (SAP) is a Marketing Cloud account branding tool that allows you to customize links and images to match branding for the authenticated domain you’re sending email from.

Einstein Engagement Scoring

Einstein Engagement Scoring predicts consumer engagement with email and MobilePush messaging. It uses customer data and machine learning to generate predictive models that assign scores for every contact’s likelihood to engage with emails and interact with push notifications.
